Electro Muscle Stimulation is also known as Electrical Muscle Stimulation; Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) or electromyostimulation. EMS is a type of therapy that uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscle contractions using the electrical impulses to directly stimulate motor neurons. It is often used as a form of physical therapy, as well as in sports training and fitness. EMS is believed to help improve muscle strength, reduce pain, and speed up recovery from injuries.
